When you sell an item at Van Rijk Jewellers, you can choose to receive a competitive cash offer, an even higher in-store credit, or cash plus trade value.


When you are looking to sell a piece of jewellery, watch or gold, you must arrange an appointment for the buyer to take a look at it. If you are looking to trade or you are looking to buy something from Van Rijk, you do not need an appointment. Kindly note that we cannot provide quotations over the phone.


Yes we do. Our layaway plan allows our customers to choose the pieces they want and have extra time to pay for them. We offer a four month layaway without any interest.

First payment of 25% down, followed by three monthly payments of 25% each time. All layaway deposits are non refundable.


Following your purchase, you have warantee for one year. One year warranty covers the actual working of the timepiece as long as it has not been tampered with.


Your warranty does not include:

– Damage including scratches, crystals, straps, bracelets, bezels, buckles, cases, dials, hands, crown, pushers,

– Damage caused by impact, vibrations, magnetic fields, batteries

– Physical damage

– Water damage, (damage arising from moisture or water)

– Damage or defects from normal wear

– Misuse (knocks, dents, crushing)

Any modifications, alterations or opening of the case performed by any party other than Van Rijk Jewellers will render the warranty null and void.

Since we are not authorized dealers for these watches, we can not supply the factory warranty.

Van Rijk Jewellers can not guarantee the authenticity of any individual watch component parts for vintage watches due to repairs performed over the lifetime of the watch which may have resulted in the replacement of original parts.

No. We do not sell any brand new watches nor are we authorized dealers.


If an item is listed on our website, it is most likely in stock. However, because these items are also available in our Van Rijk store, there is a possibility that an item has been sold and has not been removed from the website immediately. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will refund your purchase immediately.

Van Rijk guarantees the authenticity of every watch sold through our website. Our watches are inspected by our Swiss-Trained professional watchmakers. Van Rijk will provide a written guarantee of authenticity.

We are an established brick and mortar store since 1985, with a showroom located in Toronto, Canada. We have built up a clientele and a large inventory of unique products that have charm, history and craftsmanship while providing top of the line service that creates a memorable positive experience for customers. We do not do consignment – everything has been purchased and bought outright which means we price things to sell.

Van Rijk does not do consignment and pays on the spot. When selling, we provide you with three different options: full cash buy out value, cash + trade or full trade value that saves you the 13% tax.
